Michael Basch is not only the best loan officer near me, but arguably the best loan officer in Maryland.  He initially recommended a Real Estate Agent, but we already had a Realtor we wanted to work with.  He worked side by side with our Realtor to help us buy a house quickly, and we could not be happier. In the market we were in, speed was key. He got us all the information we needed in a timely manner and was ready whenever we needed him. Michael is a human Mortgage Calculator and knows how to embrace customer service with a high level of empathy. Multiple times he walked us through the daunting task of helping us to understand everything that goes into purchasing and financing a home. He got us an interest rate lower than the average interest rate today and we are very grateful.  He made sure all the I’s were dotted and the T’s were crossed, and looked out for us as clients. If you are looking for a Mortgage, Michael is hands down your guy.  I will certainly be calling him for any future mortgage needs.  Thank you for all your help!

This was my first home buying experience (Howard County, MD) and I literally could not have chosen a worse time considering the current interest rates and low inventory. But my loan officer Michael Basch, and his team, at First Home Mortgage were incredibly patient, helpful, and kind throughout the entire process. They took the time to go through every option available to me and were never tired of answering my endless questions. Beyond that, they treated me with respect and raised the bar for anyone working in their industry. I can't say enough nice things about Michael and his team. We had special circumstances because I don't start my job in Maryland until August but have a contract and received an email with my salary. Other lenders told me they couldn't work with that, but Michael said it was no problem and made the entire process really easy. He made himself available to talk whenever it was urgent while we were looking for houses. Once an offer we made on a house was accepted, he and his team (Amanda, who is also great) were able to get things together for closing in about 3 weeks. If you are looking for homes in Maryland and need a loan, definitely use Michael and his team. They were so thorough and kind throughout the process. Michael even came to closing. Very personal touch and a really good experience overall.
