Being self-employed can make it challenging to find lenders, especially when it comes to a mortgage. Luckily, I came across First National Bank of America and their Profit & Loss Statement mortgage program. The process was seamless and we ended up closing on our home nearly two weeks ahead of schedule. I worked with Tony and Renee and they both made the process simple. Any question I had was answered within minutes in a direct, but detailed and friendly manner. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for a mortgage -- and especially those who are self-employed.

Stephanie Brown was our Loan Officer for our home purchase. I was truly impressed with how quickly and efficiently we were able to get approval and keep the process moving forward. I have purchased multiple homes over the years and as a small business owner it has been one of the worst experiences to go through each time. The process feels like something from the Spanish Inquisition to be able to qualify. Stephanie had an approval for me in just under 24 hours. She was very responsive and communicative from our very first contact all the way to the closing and after, following up to see how our move went and to congratulate me again. For the first time ever, getting a mortgage was a simple and straight forward process. It made the stress of the situation significantly reduced!! The time lines she presented for the process were spot on. We ran into a small hiccup with the appraisal but Stephanie kept us on track and moving forward! Save the Aggravation and bank somewhere else. They bank as if it’s still 1950. Write us a letter for this, write us a letter for that. What happened to signing forms via docusign like every other bank in America. I find the response time of the manager David a solid D. Just closed four accounts -best decision ever

I have had a lot of interaction with FNBA, and it revealed a level of customer service that my own primary bank (Ally) simply does not have. They truly deserve 5 stars. Having said that, I would note that a 540 days' worth of interest for early termination of a CD is unusually punitive. Just something to watch out for.
