James Cole established and has serviced my loan for over 4 years now. He's been fantastic to work with. I got a little concerned when he called me out of the blue a few years back as interest rates were dropping and he said I could convert my loan to the current lower rate for a small fee and it would save me thousands every year. I've never had a financial person proactively contact me to save me money so I was leery! He wasn't lying though, it was true and we've even done it again since. Very happy with the loan, patronage program and the Howell branch.

If James Cole gets assigned to you don't even bother attempting to go through this company he will not return emails or follow up in any way. I am amazed by the lack of professionalism like truly amazed people this lazy have jobs. I am not sure if he represents the company as whole but this guy should be unemployed

Great staff and very knowledgeable

We have had our mortgage with GS for many years, we paid off a vacant land loan we had with them, we both have excellent credit with many assets. We bought a house for cash to rent and applied for a $75,000 loan on a $138,000 purchase and were denied. We've never defaulted on anything in our lives and GS certainly had all the security they need to secure the loan but we were apparently denied because we own our company. It also took them 6 weeks just to tell us no. I've referred GS many times over the years but will never again. They are just to difficult to deal with these days or have gotten to big it appears. Sad.
