American 1 Credit Union, Jackson, MI

I had a wonderful experience with signing up with American 1 credit Union. The staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable about their services and they made me feel important. I did not feel like an interruption of their work but the purpose of it. I commend them on their staff and associates and look forward to a long lasting and positive relationship.

Amber helped me get my first credit card today! She was very helpful and gave me a lot of useful tips since I’m new to this. I’m thankful she was the one to help me because she answered every question I had. Thank you so much!

I have been a member for over 30 years. Over the past 10 years I have watched their service levels and offerings decline. Their customer service is horrible, long wait times of excess of 20 minutes, and any sort of action needed takes multiple people and many phone calls. Their fraud program is a joke. They are no longer innovative and their technology is sub par. There are far superior credit unions in Jackson. Don't waste your time here. I am sharing this for there are several others in community that feel the same. Complete disorganization.

Highly recommend!! Even from a state away Tony went above and beyond to help me refinance my auto loan! I was referred to him and couldn’t have had a better experience! He and his team are wonderful!

I had very nice visit w Jill. She helped me get what i need. Very nice employee very nice person. Good experience. I have been w Am1 for many yrs, no problems.

Cindy was very friendly and courteous. The entire staff actually was from the young ladies at both reception desks, to the gentleman teller who I first dealt with and then finally Cindy Nunn. I am usually not a patient person and it was a two hour visit , but I left fully informed of all member services, credit information, had a complete folder of the information to review should I forget anything and I wouldn't have to wait for ID cards or my debit card to come in the mail, as everything was completed on the spot. She even gave me a hard copy of the letter required for direct deposit so I wouldn't have to make a return visit. Due to the time taking longer than I allotted for it to, I even had to have my 9 yr old grandson dropped off to me so his mother could attend an older siblings sporting event and Cindy didn't mind at all and was very accommodating. It was a nice visit .

Ali was amazing. She worked very hard and swiftly to find ways to get me the loan I needed. And work with the underwriter creatively to get the loan at the rate and terms I needed at an amazing payment rate.
