Heidi at consumers was exceptional to work with on my mortgage. Heidi was very responsive and knowledgeable. She made sure to answer any questions that I had and worked to make sure we could get the financing that we needed for our home. I would highly recommend consumers and Heidi for anyone looking to open a new mortgage.

I opened my own account and a joint account with my new husband as he had an account of his own here already. I've always had great customer service at the Center St. branch in Portage and they helped me greatly with a car loan. But I have one major complaint that they will do nothing about. Overdraft fees charged on PENDING transactions. These are transactions that are incurred on the weekend, a Sunday specifically and are only seconds old....still pending. Yet, they will move money (they obviously know I have) from another account to cover said transaction and charge me $10 to do so. I've spoken with someone, explaining how unfair this practice is and ask only that they give me time to move money on my own and don't charge me an over draft fee within seconds. At least let it clear before you hit me with a charge. I was told "all banks do this." No sir. I've never had a bank do this. I have another account at another credit union and have had accounts at other banks in the past. This was never a normal practice. It seems very suspect to me. So just beware of this when you are choosing your bank.

Jolene Scott was amazing. Really helpful and knowledgeable. They were also super patient and answered all my questions and made opening an account so easy and fast. Walked out set up and ready to go. This bank was awesome.

The loan approval process in itself was quick and relatively painless. We were able to do all the necessary paperwork online except for the actual closing through the title company. Our mortgage officer was Benjamin Belloli. He was helpful throughout the whole process and was available to answer questions as we had them.

They answered all my questions and their online systems were very easy to use. After I closed on my new home loan, I decided to move all of my personal bank accounts and automatic deposits to the CU.
