Kelly was excellent with starting my new account. But I went into the Jenison, Michigan, locate, and soon as I entered the location, I was greeted with kindness and great customer service. The teller Dee was excellent. I also sat and spoke with the loan officer; she was friendly, kind, patient, and helpful. Lastly, Janel, the branch manager, was a phenomenal person. I recently left my bank because of their practices and rude customer service. Now that banking with Members First Credit Union, I feel like I have made the best decision with my banking services.
Thank you

Can't express how frusterated i am with this bank. They always advertise "hard times happen were here to help" BS. Locked my card and refuses to tell me why unless i show up to the bank. By the way it's Saturday night so i can't use my card until Monday. Described to them that I'm 6 hours from home and need to use my card to get gas and get home. The people on support showed no sympathy and told me they can't help and i have to go into a bank Monday. Looks like I'm stranded for the night because they refuse to unlock my card even after i provided my member number, birthday, and social security number over the phone. They do not care.

I was approved for a vehicle loan at DWA but not before i was denied by a out of state DWA picked. DWA never told me they just went to 2nd option and go here and I was approved. Seriously!

Member here 10 years. And I'm very disappointed with my loan officer in clare. Didn't explain my credit would drop after auto loan refi.

I was with a bank that rebranded 3 times in 2 years. I was blown away at how much better this credit union is (than all three banks were) for customer service, online banking, and financial education.

On two occasions; when I would make an additional payment on my credit card account, the auto pay the following month would not go through as it was originally set up to do. After the first time, I was given assurances that they had corrected the problem. But again, it happened this summer where I had made an additional payment on my credit card account to bring the balance down. But the following month, the auto pay would not work so I received notices in the mail and was assessed a late fee. The late fee was reversed but I'm going through the same headache with this bank. They cannot fix this problem. They cannot set up the auto pay to accept additional payments and then continue to draft my account the following month. It is very frustrating and I have had enough with this situation. Either they are using outdated software or their tellers don't know what the hell they're doing or both. The level of incompetence and outdated software use are the reasons why I'm banking elsewhere and you should too! If you're looking for a credit union, stay away from Members First. I've heard from many other people that they have had similar experiences and they just chose to go to a different bank and they are much happier. It is difficult to "find your happy" with Members first credit Union and members are not "First" when it comes to banking experiences at this credit Union!

Today I closed my account because I have experienced very poor customer relations. I opened the account a year ago with the intention of relocating to Midland. I applied for a pre approval letter. I had a terrible experience working with the mortgage department. I had planned on transferring most of our banking assets to Members First after purchasing a home in the Midland area. This week I received a quarterly statement of my account and discovered $40 missing. Members First arbitrary started taking $10 a month out of my account without prior notification. Yesterday I drove the hour commute to Midland to close the account - I was told the computers were down and I could not close the account. Today I drove an hour back to Midland. I explained to the teller I was closing the account because I experienced poor customer service. The teller then closed the account but lied about the reason. I was given a form saying the account was closed because it was no longer needed - I told the teller the reason was poor customer service. I then spoke with a manager voicing my dissatisfaction. I had opened the account with $50. I walked out with $10.14 which includes 14 cents interest. No one I talked to semed to care about my frustration. So I am now shopping for another bank .

Literally wanted a fax to complete a loan and then the fax didn't get answered for days. Didn't know the other branches fax and when I got that fax number no one answered that either.
On top of that who even ask for a fax anymore?
So many wasted sheets of paper ink and time trying to get a simple piece of paper to a loan officer
