Very sad and disappointing what has become of Bay Winds Credit Union. I have been a member since 1995. It used to be a great place, and truly member owned, but ever since the merger with Traverse City, it has gone rapidly downhill to the point they will cancel your business cards without informing you, AT ALL, then tell you, you cannot get a card made at a local branch, then 3 weeks go by and you have no card for your business because they are probably to busy to send a new one, so you have to leave your job and drive to a branch when they are "working," because as the one girl told me, they are to busy to answer the phones, and get another debt card, which is then also declined.
If you do need to make a call because you cannot bear the thought of having to drive, yet again, 30 miles from the job site on Biden's wreck America gas price plan, and you do manage to make through the multiple hurdles of recorded messages and selections, and after being on hold for 30 minutes, you will be happily greeted by a person at a far off call center that can barely speak or understand English.
So I have had it, I pulled all my accounts and went to another truly locally owned credit union, who do answer the phones, who do have a thing called customer service where they go the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of correctly, especially if you are running a business, not that personal banking isn't important as well.
You people managing this credit union better wake up, although it is probably too late, because the writing is on the wall, I just got done looking at all the glowing reviews here on Google , very sad what you are doing to your customers, who by the way, are the only reason this financial institution exists.

I've been banking with 4front for about 6 years now. Even after I moved 2.5 hours away I kept banking with them. Absolutely love the friendly staff and easy loan application process. They where extremely helpful changing all my accounts over when my wife passed away. I recommend this credit union to everyone.

Today was the 2nd time I went to this branch to open a new account (the 1st was a business account that got opened with chase). This branch is seriously lacking in customer service. Didn't open either account and switching from 4front entirely

Best banking experience I've had out of the 5 or so different banks I've used. Very fast, personal help on loans, even using eSign to process/sign documents - impressive for Northern Michigan. All their representatives seem to have customer satisfaction in mind - always helpful and kind.

This is a great credit union. They have eager and friendly staff ready to assist you. Also there are several branches close to home with atm's and video drive-thru banking. EASY PEASY! I would recommend this credit union to anyone.

I have banked with 4front when it was an great establishment know as baywinds... The transition to 4front was the downfall. My wife and i went through hard times and we're willing to try to work with 4front and keep communication open, I cannot say the same about the customer service of 4front. When going completely negative they are unwilling to assist by simply doing a stop check. Unless you bring your account to good standing again. During financial issues or sudden issues in life that can be hard or impossible... The best we got was removing $75 dollars of overdraw fees.
Once we finally got to a point to fix our issue they had piled up a ungodly amount of fees to the point we wanted to close our account and walk away.... They did not show any care about this and would not close our account.
For a company I see reviews about that they respond to saying we value customer service. They sure do not have the customer service and do not care how they can assist their members. They forget that their members are why they are in business.
We took our business to chase who have openly communicated with us and have been very understanding.

I am not rating this specific bank in Petoskey, but rather for ALL of 4front as a whole. This used to be a great credit union. They’ve gone way downhill.
Their math is out of whack, which makes it way to easy to go into the negative so they can charge fees and make money off you.
My bills, transactions, and everything pends for up to a week.
They charge you a $25 fee because their math was wrong.
They charge a lot more to get a money order then other places.
They’ve changed a lot, and unfortunately aren’t the same great CU they used to be.

Haven’t been able to check my account online for months. Ask for help online and in person still no help. It’s just a gambling game on how much money I have. Over the phone is useless. All in all they suck
