FlagStar bank recently bought my mortgage from AmeriFirst. I only wish I had a say in this, I wouldn’t use FlagStar for any loan, ever.... this is my second go round with FlagStar. After the transfer I received several letters saying there would be no changes and then the payment immediately went up $50. When I called customer service they wanted to argue with me. As if I don’t know how much I have been paying for my monthly payment. I argued over the added pmi cost and one lady, Teri, said if I don’t pay it she didn’t care, it was my credit score that goes down. I will refinance, it will cost me closing cost, I only hope it cost FlagStar in what they paid to buy my loan. Buyer beware, or be ready to make the largest purchase of your life with an organization that doesn’t care at all. Go to a local credit union!!!!

My Mortgage is through flagstar, so they have to endorse my flood insurance check due to hurricane Ian. Just got $8,000, 5 months later... that doesn' even cover the drywall removal and mold remediation I paid for in October 2022. Slower than dirt, should have paid 2 more basis points to mortgage through a good bank.
