I called ahead to see if they could cash my check. I let them know the amount. When I arrived they said they could only cash half. The other half I had to apply for some other unwanted bank. And give all kinds of information. Plus they didn't even have close to the amount that I said I needed cashed.

The staff was excellent and patient with me, I don't mind the processing fee and their location is usually open. In and out in under 15 mins.

Staff: Amazing. Company: ripoff. So I paid my loan a day late and unfortunately, I got there right before they closed so I was unable to put a stop check on my account. At first, it was no problem, an easy fix. I show them that the check took out of my account, everyone goes home. The problem at hand was the fact that the check made my account go negative (since I did not have another 600 sitting around in my account in case they charge me twice, as they did,) and the story with the was now that I had to wait 10 days to get a refund although it took them less than a day to take the funds from my account. Since then, I have called twice, only to be lied to by a corporate representative about the day the funds would be in my account. Fast forward to today, the day they said the funds would be available, I give them a call again at 11am on my lunch break to see why my account is still negative. Another representative notified me that the process hadn't been started until almost a week after inquiry, resetting the 10 day wait and refuses to let me speak to a superior to try to mend the situation. Representative was polite, but unsuccessful in providing the customer security and solution and providing someone who could possibly provide those necessities. End result: my account is still negative and due to overdraft fees, my work check wasn't even enough to balance my account, which likely means overwhelming effort on my end just to fix a problem they could fix at the snap of a finger. Oh, and there's a late charge to reloan after all of this. Highly recommend you try another business to suit your needs

Friendly staff and quick service, especially if you know what time of day to go. Everyone giving poor reviews either doesn't understand how check cashing places function or are just impatient or both. It's not a bank and they will have to take precautions on your first transaction because there are a lot of dishonest people. If you do not have a bank account this is your best bet.

DO NOT cash your payroll check here unless your OK with them putting all but $300 on a debit card! They have been doing this for awhile now. They say they don't get money regularly because of Covid but that's nonsense. They do it so you are FORCED to use their debit card and they make a fee with every transaction. Don't be gullible. Go elsewhere like I did with NO problems whatsoever. You've been warned.

Very convenient if you're in need of emergency funds. They have around a $36 fee for borrowing so factor that when considering a loan. Not exactly the fastest but, definitely thorough and gets it right every time. A friendly staff who will recognize return borrowers. Don't forget to bring a paper paystub for first time loans or if you haven't taken one in a while. Located on the corner of Michigan Ave and Ecorse next to Happy's Pizza!
