Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union - Alexandria, Alexandria, MN

Seriously never have I had so many issues trying to pay my vehicle loan for this place. It's a joke. I tried resetting my password and even after calling to confirm my account number it still said information not valid. Why does making a payment have to have so many steps!? The hours are impossible for me to make and a card payment over the phone means an up charge. How do they expect a single working mother to take time to make a trip to sit in a line for who knows how long let alone have to leave work early to accommodate getting there before they close. I never wanted to change my loan to another place so much until this being not even 6 months into making payments and struggling with their website "extension" ,Grateful for the loan but when i'm stressed about my vehicle I am not a happy camper.

I have accounts at the Alexandria location. Funds availability policy is a little slower than other institutions I bank at. However, I've been treated very well on real estate loans and revolving business credit lines. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Overall a decent place to work with.

Edit two years later. The people I liked in the staff have left. Wouldnt let us (married) deposit a check because it had both our names on it. only way the would let us is if we both opened a joint account. Even though we both have our checking there... got my mortgage here i know its common to sell loans but it was sold before I even did title signing so much for keeping it local. Also did a vehicle loan worst experience I've had at a bank that I was approved for the loan treated like they couldn't trust me to make the purchase on terms with the seller. Made me take money out of my savings to pay for vehicle to than give me credit back into my savings after bringing them the title. I'm not sure what is happening there but this will no longer be my bank.

I belong to a credit union in up-state New York. This bank is a member of a network if banks, so I went in and wirhdrew cash from my sccount as if it wast my own bank. The whole transaction took less than t minutes. It w a awesome!!!

The automated message when you call. Says mmfcu is with you all the way. That is a crock. First off...trying to get a loan through the bank is impossible. They keep declining me. So I went through USAA to get a loan and got approved. Then when I take that check and cash it into my account mmfcu wants to take 9 days to give me all the money. I highly doubt it takes 9 days for a check to clear. Im currently researching other financial institutions that I can go through and when I find the right one I am done with MMFCU. They dont care about their members...their staff can be rude at times depending on which branch you call or deal with in person. I wouldnt recommend this place if my life dependes on it. I am a disabled veteran as well. So not only are they treating a member that way...but they have no respect for members who served or currently are serving.
