SMW Financial Credit Union, Maplewood, MN

We've been members for around 15 years and in the last 3 years something has changed and we are very disappointed in the direction they are going. They aren't even open on saturdays anymore. Their rates are not competitive with other credit unions any longer. They always come in 1 to 2% higher than their competitors. We recently paid off our camper loan and it took a week for the buyers funds to show up in our account even though SMWFCU had the money the next day. Then it took another 2 weeks to get the lien release. Unacceptable. Once they took money out of my sister in laws account instead of our account and the accounts aren't even linked! Today I find out they charged a $25 annual fee on an overdraft protection line of credit that we haven't used in years! I do not recommend this credit union to anyone and my family and friends who bank there are now looking elsewhere.

Very nice staff always doing everything they can to assist you highly recommended credit union great rates on loans and good benefits just for being a member like free life ins ect. Oh and ifbyou tell them Cody hammill recommended them to you when you open your checking/savings account and we will both receive 50$!!!!

Giving this a 3 star based on the programs they offer. Contacted them there facebook to ask member requirements. They told me anyone could join. So I filled out the online app. Recieved a call to be told since I didnt live in the right county I couldn't join. I didnt think different county had different money??

Customer service is great, nice perks, mobile banking website really sucks.

This is the worst bank ever!!!! Been hacked three times and on the last one it was almost a grand and they said they couldn't give us our money and we needed to figure it out. After we tried and talked to the police and they even said the bank owes us and it's a crime they kicked us out and didn't let us cash out our checking account.
