When they’re to cash a check, and it was an $8000 check. They said they can give me 2000 today and the other 6000 in 10 days. The whole point of going to this place to cash checks is to get the money instantly. Why would I pay hundreds of dollars to cash this check if I could wait 10 days? I could just take the check to my bank and have the money in 3 days. Their reasoning was that they didn’t have enough money there and they had to order it from the bank. I don’t understand that. First of all, cashing checks is a common thing, so it’s very surprising that they wouldn’t have enough cash. Second, I don’t know what bureaucratic red tape is in place where it takes 10 days to get cash from a bank. Anyway, I needed the cash unfortunately so I had to accept the ridiculous offer. They ended up charging me hundreds of dollars to cash this check, of which they did not even give me half of it until 10 days later. Absolutely insane
