Tried to get a construction loan for a house I planned to build myself. Wanted to use my brother in law who have been framing houses in the area for years and years but they would not loan me the money unless I hired a "real" general contractor. HOWEVER, they are approving a loan for my brother in law's son who is building a house and my brother in law is going to do all the work. The difference is his house is "not as complicated" as mine???? His is a ranch with a crawl space, maybe 1000 square feet and mine is 1500 square foot raised ranch. So, I guess the fact that mine needs a foundation makes it more complicated. These guys are ridiculous......

I love this bank. All the gals are great to me. They know us all by name and tend to our needs as best as they can. Hard to beat their customer service.
