Equity Bank, Knob Noster, MO

Wife and I met son and grandaughter at Katy’s motors in Sedalia. After negotiating with dealership he suggested equity bank. Grandaughter tried dad and mother. However both parents unable to co-sign so I offered to. I got a call from Jessie to explain why turn down. He (Jessie) asked to see my SS deposit. I told him what I got and he said people lie about income all of the time?? Did he say I was lying?! Anyway we live in Warsaw Mo and o asked paper work for car to be sent to Warsaw branch and was setting up grandaughter for Saturday morning However Jessie told me under writers had to approve loan so I need to send info of me to bank to get approval. We’re helping grandaughter buy a Nissan Sentra with 38,000 miles for $9000. There’s a whole bunch of stories here. We use to have over 200.000 in their bank but other banks posted better interest rate and equity wouldn’t deal. We moved our money but thought we would go ahead and set up online banking for grandaughter so she can get payment from account on time. I finally got it set up and called back Jessie. I was on hold and listening to recording about how aggressive they were with car loans. Jessie end up telling me they wouldn’t give us a loan because I was to demanding!!! I told him I would bring in proof of income in morning to set up checking account for grandaughter He told me that isn’t way we do it here. There’s a lot lot more for later. Just in case what I think about this bank isn’t clear yet let’s just say very disappointing for sure. More tomorrow.

Good service and seems like a fun work environment! Always helpful and gives wonderful service each time, I am glad to support my equity bank.

The new manager helped me out so much ! I believe her name was Courtney, she helped answer every question I had, and was very knowledgeable.

I left there and I am so glad I did. There are way better options. Absolutely everything was a hassle with them. Check out other internet banking options and you will be really glad you did.
