After my stellar experience with a property loan, I figured I would go to WCU for a motorcycle loan.
Big mistake.
Long story short; I applied on May 12th, the dealership finally got their money on June 3rd. The person in charge of handling my loan, Victoria, was absolutely impossible to get ahold of. She not once picked up the phone when I called and rarely answered emails.
It took them 2 days after I applied to make first contact with me. All they wanted was a copy of my driver’s license and proof of income. It then took them 2 more days to actually process the application and a day after that to tell me what I was approved for.
I’ve been buying vehicles for 30 years now, I’ve never had a loan take more than a day, start to finish.
A few days later I find the bike I want, negotiate with the dealership and send the pertinent info off to WCU. Two days later I finally get the loan contract. Victoria doesn’t tell me I’ll need to get a power of attorney form notarized, which causes more delay (and expense). I get everything back to them and a couple days later, find out they screwed up the paperwork and have to send a new contract.
It was at this point my blood starts to really boil. Not only did they screw it up, they CHANGED the terms of the agreement. All of a sudden, the 60 month loan I had already signed paperwork for was only 48 months. She wouldn’t budge, I got a “take it or leave it” response.
Needless to say, I’m sure WCU as a whole doesn’t approve of this approach by Victoria. The interest rate is good and the loan itself is fine, I’m just left with a bad taste in my mouth by this experience. I’m not sure yet if I wish to continue doing business with WCU. Like I said to start, my mortgage experience was wonderful!

In the 10+ years that I've banked through the Polson branch, I've been treated almost like family. Not only are they ALWAYS so nice to me, they are very professional and informative as well. They help me with anything that I need, but that's normal and required. It's the way they go above and beyond expectations that make me more than glad that I am a part of the WCU family. I have always recommended my friends and family to bank here, whether they are new time account holders or not. This is where I started banking, and I have no intentions banking elsewhere. Love you guys! Thank you for all that you do for me and our community! Keep up the good work and positivity you all spread to your members!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS HERE!!!!!!
It’s been almost a year since WCU has locked out its clients and they continue to do so, even after the mask mandate has been dropped. I have asked multiple employees, including calling and asking three different employees at three different branches, when people will be allowed back in the lobby to do their business. I’ve been told every single time “I do not know.” So, that either means that the employees are being told to say that or the employees do not know because management is not informing them of anything. Either way this bank needs new management throughout. The only reason I gave it two stars was because the employees are polite whenever they’re telling me they don’t know what is going on.Again, do not take your business here if you can help when all the other banks in the area have their lobbies open so their clients feel welcome. Whitefish credit union is not a community bank.
