Friendly , fast and convenient. I needed some help in securing a loan. Was able to get this taken care of without an appointment. I received a call the next morning to let be know my loan had been approved. Will be transferring my checking account from another bank.

Overall I like first bank. Never had much of an issue with the bank except this location. The staff and clerks are freindly but clueless. When I got my first bank 2 years ago they didn’t set me up on a first at work checking and instead gave me a standard account but I knew I I qualified and fixed it at the Charlotte location. Basically the standard account meant I needed to make enough transactions monthly or have a work check to not get fined tons of money. Wire fees were 24$! However first at work only requires a monthly balance of 1000 put in. I’m a college student and first at work fits my needs better and less fees. The second problem I had was actually 9:05 am on June 1st. I wasn’t the only person with this issue the two cars in front of me I knew and told me the same issue occurred. There is a new middle aged Asian lady running the driver through window, she was freindly but definitely not out of her way nice how are you doing like the other employees, acted like she knew everything but was very slow and unprofessional. She asked for my ID even though I’ve never had to present ID just my bank card to withdraw in the 2 years I’ve banked with first because the card pulls up my picture and information anyways... Then I had to fill out the cash withdrawals form but unlike every other time where I just sign I had to fill everything out myself. Then she took off and left me sitting for 5 minutes while she attended the front counter and back room. After a gentleman inside working noticed my frustration 6-7 minutes in total he just got my cash for me. Rules of thumb, valued bank card holders should not have to present ID and go through pointless time waisting identity checks. Clerks working the window need to be efficient and quick and not leave the station and not come back at all. Lastly, clerks need to fill out the withdraw sheets so I can sign get my money and let the next person in line go. All of these points are directed towards the new lady and anyone who will become new employees in the future. If the lady continues to be slow and unhelpful I’ll bank at another 1st bank location. It’s small things but they add up and I hope they can get her and other employees learning the banking process how to stay on track.
Update august: same female Asian bank teller and another issue. I cashed a check the week prior with no check hold on my account. Cashed a check this week same amount same check recipient that gave it to me. They held the check and I called to ask and explain the check and got the rude runaround from the lady not listening to me and telling me something completely different to my issue. Finally I got fed up and decided I’m probably switching banks. I’ve banked with first for 3 years. And I get staffing is short right now but why hire someone that doesn’t know anything about doing their job and is unhelpful to customers... shortly after hanging up I went to check my balance and she put a hold on my account until I checked and agreed to the check cashing terms and conditions form which threw me over the edge. I will most likely be switching banks and this teller needs to be given proper training or fired on the spot.
Update September: same lady at the counter I asked to get CASH for a check and she deposited it instead which means the check wouldn’t be available till the next business day. I had to wait an additional 5-10 minutes to get a associate manager to fix the issue.

I really appreciate the service First Bank Provides. Their online banking, service and interest rates have all been great for our Non Profit. Tellers are friendly and helpful.

Super staff and service. Not only is the staff kind, capable, and professional, BUT we can call the bank and speak with a LIVE PERSON IMMEDIATELY! How refreshing and what great customer service. Thanks!
