Mountaineer Mortgages is a great company to work with when purchasing a home. Chris is on top of his stuff, has clear communication and make the entire process as smooth as possible. Moving with two small children, Chris took a lot of the worry out of the process which was nice! This is the second time we have used Mountaineer Mortgages to purchase a home, and will definitely do it again!

I'm honestly not sure how a 5.0 star review was achieved for this company. My experience came across very unprofessional, wavering/inconsistent, and downright shady in some ways due to not all information being shared up front about what certain costs were going towards. There were also multiple occurrences of re-signings and refunds/reprocessed orders which were not of low consequence. I felt that my questions were answered in as short of answer as possible, no thought or explanation was given to provide details. I would not recommend this lender, especially not to anyone who does not know all the in's and out's of these processes (and let's be honest, who does?)
