BUYER BEWARE! These folks are UNRELIABLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION, NON RESPONSIVE, AND ON AND ON. I would strongly urge you NOT to use this credit union. I am a Realtor and my clients have been drug through the ringer and lost thousands of dollars because of the incompetency of the lenders in this facility. The phones do not get answered, the emails bounce back. I have been selling real estate for 14 years and if I ever see a prequalification letter or anything from Self Help come across my desk, you can guarantee that I will laugh it off my desk.

Bad service unprofessional staff the person take my loan request pre approved my loan se all my taxes and said everything are great bad the process starts trusting with everything going fine pay inspection fees and all requests she made after I spend $2800 the self help decline my loan argument the taxes are paid late and the loan no approve she are unprofessional because she see all taxes and dates of taxes it's made and now she don't get any responsibility of the mistake and the manager dont help for nothing I lose $2800 stay aware from this people dont trust on this company waste time and money

My local branch was amazing. However, once combining online services with the erroneously named "Self-Help", I am now no longer able to make payments online due to a recent two-step verification. This system supposedly sends a code to your email. This code is good only for 10 minutes, but never arrives in my inbox, spam or trash folders, despite several days passing. This makes payments impossible to do with a "self-help" entity. Until this error is fixed, I will continually and whole-heartedly recommend anyone close their accounts and/or take their business elsewhere.

One of the worst banks I've ever delt with. They partner with assistive technology program get a 665,000 grant to help low income handicapped people. Then make it impossible to get a loan. Must be nice to get that kind of money from the government.
