OneMain Financial, Monroe, NC

Speaking specifically about the Monroe, NC branch - the agent I worked with was great. Friendly and professional. She got me in and out with a loan check relatively quick. For anyone rebuilding credit and really bad credit, OneMain is definitely a recommendation from me.

I'm not going to knock stars off because of Onemain offering high interest loans, I know exactly what I'm getting into when it comes to Onemain. I have bad credit and although I'm looking to save money, right now I'm mainly worried about how much I'm spending a month. I was able to get approved twice and I'm currently renewing my loan with them in exchange for them to pay off my previous loan first. IM OKAY with this and I knew this going into the second loan. Staff is always friendly and accommodating to my needs. I'd steer away if you're trying to stay away from high interest loans. You get what you pay for they always say. Regardless, you'll more than likely get accepted and be offered with upmost professionallism when it comes to Onemain. Angie did a great job on accommodating us.

Took a loan to consolidate some of mine and my spouses debt years ago. After 3 years got an email that stated we could extend the credit of the existing loan. We decided during the refinance of the house we purchased years ago we would extend credit. We went to sign paperwork drove an hour to sign because it couldnt be done online. The manager told us we were good to.sign. took over 2 hours in the locstion. Claimed it was a system error when it was the lady working there didnt put paper in the printer! After reading the paperwork they were paying off our old loan with a lower interest rate. Then signing a new loan with with a higher rate. This would have lowered our credit score because a major factor is lenght of loan history. This would have been disastrous had we not read the fine print. Dont use these scammers.

Talk about predatory lending. I got a loan last July for the sole purpose of rebuilding my credit. I borrowed 1500.00 with my payment being 121.00 a month. always 2 payments ahead. How about I have paid 1800.00 from July 2017 to July 2018 and I still have a payoff of 1600.00. I borrowed 1500 and will pay back 3400.00. I am very disappointed in this lender and don't ever intend to borrow from One Main ever again. I am just grateful that I can afford to pay them off and since my credit score has reached 700, my goal was accomplished. sometimes you have to do the unthinkable to get where you need to be.

Getting a loan from OMF was a breeze. Once approved, I had the funds in less than an hour.

The Customer Service Reps were very Professional and knowledgeable. They were extremely helpful and down to earth. Mede me feel really comfortable with borrowing from this agency. I would highly recommend them to others. Thank You!!!

Based on my credit score, I don’t qualify for a bank loan. However, I do qualify with One Main Financial other the rate is higher than a bank. I have found all employees in the Monroe office to the be professional and friendly and hope to continue to do business with them. although I don’t like the interest-rate, they are comparable to other finance companies, but the people make me feel like a first class citizen rather than a second class citizen.
