On 7/11/2023 I was in the bank to make a with drawl of $300.00 cash from my checking account. I left with the $300.00. I use Quicken at home and download from the bank daily. Thought it was strange that I didn't see the $300.00 cash with drawl, but kept watching for it. On 7/17/3023 I tried contacting the bank by phone to ask about this. I called 7 times. NO ONE answers the phone and NO ONE returns calls! I called the Truist 800 number and spoke with a person. They tried calling the bank and NO ONE answered the phone. She then researched and found a email address to someone there and wrote to them. NOTE: I had the receipt from this transaction. The $300.00 did not come out of my account. There was another account number listed on the receipt and it was not mine! At 4:59 my phone recorded a call from the bank, however, I was unable to get to the phone before the call ended. On 7/18/2023, I down loaded and found they took out of my account the $300.00 with no explanation to me! No phone call, nothing. I again tried calling the bank and left voice messages and nothing! I am walking in there to day, (20 miles away) and closing all my accounts! These people are always unfriendly to the point of rude. I use the ATM and am tired of finding it out of money or out of order!. I find this whole thing unbelievable! I rate this bank NO stars if I could but have to at least check one in order to post.

I’m trying to determine whether to renew a Truist CD for my mom that I’m a co-owner on. Went to the branch but the lobby was swamped with customers waiting to talk to the only two branch employees available. Went home and called Truist contact center. They told me we’d have to work with the branch that handled the CD and they said they couldn’t even tell me what current Truist CD rates were. Truist has clearly mastered incompetence and has anti-customer service down to a tea‼️ I was really impressed with how incompetent they were. Shocking really.

We have used BBT for years since we first moved to NC. Ever since truist took over this bank is a scam! The fees just went up AGAIN! There’s an account minimum. You can only cash or get a full paycheck direct deposited if you have $300 in the accounts it’s going in. When you deposit any paper check there’s a hold, if you deposit on Friday you don’t see any of that money until Monday. Their customer support is no longer available, helpful or fluent in English. When asking they’re in person or over the phone staff questions they either don’t know, lie to appease your question or transfer you. My husband and I are ending our accounts with this bank.
