What a great place. I loved how the staff was friendly and helpful. Very educated on items that I brought in and above all great prices. I would definitely recommend taking your unwanted gold and items here. By far the best pawn shop around.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR GOLD TO THIS SHOP! We went in to this shop hoping to make a connection with someone local to sell our scrap to and to be treated fairly. We were assured they offered the going rate for gold in a pawnshop environment, and unfortunately we believed them. Soon after we left we had a gut wrenching feeling that it wasn't an honest offer we did some research and found out they gave us 170% less then the going rate at other shops in the area a $300 difference. We brought it to the attention of management and we explained that there are laws that are in place in cases of anyone acquiring property under false pretense, which is evident in our situation Givin the drastic difference in what the actual going rate it is compared to what they said was the going rate. The manager didnt give us much hope in the matter, and when we called another J&W affiliated with this shop the guy on the phone said they offer so little because they dont have competition close by. So they knowingly lowball under false pretense from what I've gathered. Speaking with small claims court to handle this legally. Complete scam. Learn from our situation save yourself the heartache and stay away from this shop. Update/Reply Manager chose to respond with a lie no surprise there. You offered us $300? That's a lie, on $350 of gold another lie. You're really just helping me prove my case at this point. UNBELIEVABLE. What we did was take the amount of gold you printed on our slip and called local shops to compare prices, it only took two phone calls to other shops to realize we were lied to and scammed out of our property. What you did is very much against the law. Acquiring property under false pretense is a felony in North Carolina, and also violates article 45 of North Carolina laws and regulations for pawn shops. If you tell someone this is the going rate for the area and it turns out you LIED in order to gain control of their property, that's considered acquiring under false pretense. Just because you changed your story today and said it's the going rate in your shop, doesn't change what we were told yesterday, that it's the going rate in the area period. Even if you're right and we can't do anything about it like you told us with your snarky attitude today which from what we learned from the court house isn't true , turns out we have a shot... then at least this review is here so it doesn't happen again. We may have lost 300 in our shady dealings with your establishment but I can guarantee this will have an impact on your pocket as well. Lessons have been learned, and more lessons for some of us to come.

They are so rude. Never do business here. Terrible service. Complete rip off. Offered 50 for a brand new Makita cordless set, grinder, and cordless skill saw. Worth $360 brand new.
