Peoples Bank, Newton, NC

I’ve been a customer with peoples for over 20 years until yesterday. They changed one of my accounts to a fee based account unbeknownst to me. I keep a high balance so they could just switch the account to a non fee based account which they did after I challenged a $29!charge. They refused to credit my account the $29. The rep said they could not call customers for this change and then charge because they had too many customers. Well they have one less now. Really unbelievable after all these years of relationship. The bank manger would not even talk to me over this issue.

They always great . I not understand why people rates them so low .

Very disappointed with this bank. Too many fees and outdated ways (mobile app).Unfortunately after finding out today that I’m being charged fees to use my business account debit card and to deposit money in said account I will have to find another bank to do business with.
