Just closed on a home construction loan with Carolina Farm Credit of Pilot. Let me start by saying Lance Wardlaw is top notch. He was very helpful from day 1 of the loan process, Very responsive (returned emails in a matter of minutes), and always had a professional answer to all of our questions. This was our first construction loan, so we had a lot of questions, and Lance was always willing to listen and help us the best way he knew how. During a stressful time in our lives and dealing with the effects of Covid-19, Lance gave us a sense of comfort and assurance, knowing that he was doing what was best for us. We decided to be our own contractor on our home, so there were some hoops we had to jump through, but once again, Lance knew what was best and helped make this process very easy. If you are looking to borrow money for a home construction loan, I highly recommend these folks. The entire staff at the Pilot Mountain branch are excellent people.
