Nice, friendly, and helpful staff. Karen Rhinehart is always helpful. She does a great job when I need help. She is especially knowledgeable about the IRAs. I would, however, recommend that she be given time and possibly office space to be able to assist people in a more private setting. I would highly recommend this branch.

I can't begin to say enough nice things about Cherokee MCU. From the amazing staff members that know me by name, to the branch manager calling me personally to discuss different options for loans, these guys are always top notch. I couldn't be any happier with the service these guys provide. Thank you, Cherokee MCU, for always making my experiences with you pleasant.

These people that work in here are a JOKE. I meen its as easy as 2+2= and yet you still manage to mess it up. I believe this is where people who can not get hired at McDonald's go to work. I will be removing my account from this bank and so will my 7 other family members. If these people would set down for 10 minutes after work one day and ask there self did you perform a honest days work and where you successful at what you did? They would not be able to answer yes.

They are supposed to be a part of the branch coop network which among other things supposed to offer free ATM services to members. Their ATM's are not free and they claim their listing in the CO-OP ATM/SHARED BRANCHING network is a mistake, yet they had to join. I suspect they joined accidently. Meantime they lure you to their ATM's by advertising free ATM's only to charge you when you go use them. They are the closest credit union to Harrah's Casino. I suspect they get a lot of customers who suck it in and pay the fees, which is noted on their machines. They should remove their listing in the CO-OP ATM/SHARED BRANCHING app. It will cost them little but save members a lot from not having to drive out of their way and not get the services they expected. Though I did stay at a very economical nice motel next door.

The staff at Mountain Credit Union in Cherokee NC is always super professional and helpful especially Gena, she's always a delight to talk too and has been a huge help in my banking needs! She always has a smile on her face and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have a nice experience. Highly recommend this branch.

Won't let me open a savings account just because I don't have a traditional style job with pay stubs to prove I live in Cherokee. Not sure why that matters. My money is just as good as anyone else's.

Cassandra Mendoza is wonderful!! She goes above and beyond to assist me when I call her. She is a tremendous asset to the Credit Union and she is awesome!!!
