Great bank with great people! I did a mortgage loan for my first house recently with Steve and he was great! He was friendly, professional and did everything that he could to get me the best rate and lowest closing costs possible. Steve genuinely cares for his clients and I would recommend Steve to any one looking to purchase or refinance their home.

I recently closed on a mortgage loan with Steve and couldn't have been more impressed. By the time my wife and I found him, we were already started with another loan officer, but Steve offered a tremendous rate and lower fees. I really was impressed by the fact that he seemed to answer questions on weekends and on the occasional evening - AND he still met our original closing date. Would definitely recommend!

Steve was terrible. Put a hard inquiry on my report, wouldn't follow up for weeks after I sent him multiple emails and voicemails on the status of y preapproval. This is my first time buying a home and he was not helpful and made me feel very uneasy with his lack of communication. He was supposed to send a follow up email after he finally called me back almost 3 weeks later and I received nothing. I followed up once and decided I would move on since I had not heard back. I had to run my credit, once again, with another lender. Luckily, the rates were better and the process has been way smoother and I am closing next month!

If you are shopping for a mortgage or trying to refi do NOT go here. I can really only speak for Steve Kucirek - and his boss who I had to involve on more than one occasion - but trust, he is bad news. He laid it on SO thick at the outset, both for my refi of my house and the purchase for my condo, he provided me me with a “steep” estimated cost worksheet assuring me that in the end, it won’t be that expensive to refi - he just likes to “overestimate” - but it was even more! It was a VA home loan that I was refinancing - he will sell himself as a veteran looking out for other veterans. BS. I had to keep him on track, then he would accuse me or my agent of missing things or faxing the wrong documents which was completely false - it was truly so bizarre - after a few weeks of complete radio silence - I had to call him text him email him multiple times before he got back to me on the status of the refi - he had just let it fall off his radar, by that time I had lost the original rate and they had to run my credit again. They also told me I no longer needed the 500$ appraisal (which I had been saying from the start) but in the end when I finally threw my hands up and pulled out of the refi because it was SO inflated - I couldn’t get that 500$ back, for that appraisal THAT NEVER HAPPENED. He is such a greasy salesman, incredibly rude and shockingly immature. These are predatory practices and West Gate should be ashamed.

Steve and the team at West Gate bank helped us efficiently and quickly with our loan, title, and closing. They were personable and friendly keeping in contact by updating us through the entire process. I highly rexommend them and we would us them again for loans.

Steve Kucirek is absolutely awesome with knowledge and experience and such a kind soul for explaining every step of the way in what it takes to accomplish start to finish in the process of getting a mortgage. Highly recommend Steve for your Mortgage needs.
