In July, Liberty got rid of it’s sister branches. I was not aware of the recent change and showed up with 98.00 quarters 10.00 in nickels 22.00 dimes and numerous pennies. Instead of helping me with the coinage. They sent me on my way. Way to support disabled veterans.... True customers service.

I have done business with Liberty First Credit Union several years ago. I was thinking about getting a car loan. That didn't happen and I closed my account when I left Nebraska in 2015. In December 2021, I decided to open an account with Liberty First again. I also benefit from this location being close to my apartment. It only cost me $5 to establish a savings account. What really impressed me is that the branch manager was willing to help me because they were short staffed that day. Not only did she help me open an account, she was willing to give me some advice regarding how to repair my credit score. One idea was to open a secure credit with them and use it to make small purchases every month and pay the balance in full every month. I made a deposit and got my savings account balance high enough for a secure credit card. I also opened a checking account and switched my banking business to Liberty First. The process of opening an account doesn't take a lot of time, and the employee was willing to submit my info for my credit card application for me. I now have an unsecured card with Liberty First after making on-time payments for a year, and my credit score is over 700. Life doesn't end after bankruptcy. Sometimes, bankruptcy is the best way to a fresh start. I have been very satisfied with the app for the iPhone. It makes it easy to check my balance and pay my credit card. However, this location doesn't open its lobby on Saturday anymore. Booo! I won't deduct stars for this, but it sure is inconvenient. I hope this changes. Overall, I have been impressed with the service at this branch ever since I first step foot in it, and I highly recommend that individuals and businesses consider Liberty First for their banking needs. Sometimes, you get better service at a credit union than a bank.

I've been a loyal customer of LBFCU for years thanks to their Kasasa Checking Account that promises 5.5% APY if you hit 12 transactions/month. I've consistently hit that number, only to find out that LBFCU only counts a very few towards that transaction threshold. I've found it's a total scam to keep customers bank account balances high and every month to re-categorize credit transactions as "withdrawals", when they are categorically not. Don't be fooled. Find another bank that provides APY without having to hit transaction thresholds.
