There are a few negative reviews on here, and while I can't speak to other's experiences, I can speak about my own. This is going to be long, but hopefully valuable to those considering this service. A bit of background: I have paid Discover Student Loans over $22,000, over a 10 year period, for a $15,000 loan. I tried to refinance with them, only to be denied due to too much debt (You guessed it; because of my student loans.) When I called in to pay them more recently, it somehow turned into a TWO HOUR process. I owed $8,500 after paying $22,000, with an estimated 8 years left on my loan, with no hope of financing for a lower interest rate through Discover (about 12%). Needless to say, I was done with them, and began researching ways to refinance via another avenue. ENTER EDVESTINU. First off, I was immediately impressed by the fact that their phone tree has the same option for "Are you an existing loan borrower, or looking for more information about us"? This told me they treat people considering their services, and people who already have their services, the same. This is so important, given the nightmare of Discover. I called in several times, and was quickly assisted by Emily and Megan (spelling uncertain!) Both were kind, patient, and even listened while I prefaced each phone call emphatically exclaiming my burning hatred for Discover. They were extremely professional, very polite, and extremely helpful. Off to a phenemonal start. Secondly, I began the application process on January 8th. The site was extremely easy to navigate, and they really make it straightforward as to what documents they need, and are transparent as to what your interest rates will be. Thirdly, as of February 16, 2022, I AM FREE OF DISCOVER STUDENT LOANS, with a phenemonal interest rate (about a third of what I was paying with discover), in addition to no fees for paying early or paying over. I will be free of these student loans within the next 3 years, with a company that, I feel, actually cares, with a reasonable interest rate. I'm not sure if things have changed over the past few years (I noticed some of these reviews were from a few years ago), but they made a task I have been putting off for literal years, painless, user-friendly and fruitful. Too long; didn't read: I absolutely recommend giving this company a try, even though I low-key cringe at their name a bit (my only negative sentiment) EDVESTINU- Keep up the great work, and, seriously, thank you.

Stay away from this company!! Reviews are actually very correct. I apply for a refinance loan and it took them 2 months of insanely amount of paperwork and thousands of phone calls to disqualify me from approval. Never Again.

We were also directed here by Credible. A HUGE mistake!!! We are now at 60 days awaiting a mere 8 grand loan. Phone calls, run-around and promises that NEVER transpire. Do NOT use this company!!! THEY ARE THE WORST..... We used Citizens Bank for our other daughter's college fund with NO ISSUES.

Horrible. I was connected with this bank through the search engine called Credible, and was looking for a "small" partial tuition loan. For weeks they made it nearly impossible to receive my loan, and constantly requested additional paperwork. I rescinded my application and took my business elsewhere. Do not waste your time.

EdvestInU was easy to work with, when I had questions I called and was able to speak to someone who could answer them. Approval was quick and relatively painless, not sure why all the negative reviews?

We tried another student loan company. We waited an hour to speak to someone and it was the wrong number. They were rude. We redid every document to use Edvestinu for our second child and their customer service went above and beyond! We got right through. She was super helpful and we felt so much better about taking out loans! She even called us back to help further! I wish I remembered her name as she was AMAZING! With the best accent!!!!
