We had an amazing experience working with Karen and HarborOne Mortgage. I did not have a great experience with my prior house closing. This made me have doubts going into my most recent closing. Karen was there for my wife and I anytime I had a question. She went above and beyond to make our experience EXCEPTIONAL! I would recommend HarborOne to anyone looking to finance a home.

Absolutely A plus for pleasant attitudes but resounding failure for mortgage management. The only other company that compares is the now, thank God, defunct Countrywide. Harbor One, against all federal laws and guidelines repeatedly (pattern)blocks the consumer’s ability to more rapidly pay down their loan, costing the consumer ultimately if not corrected tens of thousands of dollars. To correct this, you must climb the ladder, up the ranks, spending hours, to merely make a payment towards principal. Regular monthly payments are accepted with ease. Extra payments, by phone, or internet, create havoc and bewilderment from their IT system straight up to the Vice President in charge of loan servicing. For three years this has happened repeatedly, each time reported the response is genuine puzzlement, deflecting the blame onto their loan servicing company, or the consumer’s computer, which works perfectly well otherwise when making regular payments. I’ve had mortgages since 1979, bought and sold over fifteen properties as a renovator, and dealt with a wide swath of the financial world. This company is the worst either in terms of ability to process and oversee their own loans, or through some pattern of blocking payments( impossible by phone, frequently but not always impossible by internet website,) that they won’t rectify, despite repeated requests over years. Save yourself time and money, shop elsewhere for your mortgage.
