From the very beginning to closing, Scott was very responsive and patient all the way. Always worked, sometimes on the weekends, sometimes in the middle of the night! Not only did he give us the best rate, he was also able to close on time as promised. It was not an easy process getting a multi-family loan but he worked hard and delivered!! Thumbs up here, would recommend to anyone looking to purchase or refinance a home.

Worked at a Wall Street firm in the finance and mergers and acquisitions field for over 20 years, and Nationwide Equities Corporation (Mahwah) is without a doubt the second most unprofessional corporation, of any kind, that I have ever dealt with, and say only the second worst, leaving room just in case I find a more unprofessional company, but I seriously doubt I ever will. Perhaps I should partially absolve Nationwide because I have only spoken with two people there, but they were representatives of the company, so … . My plan for the funds was nothing extraordinary, it was to obtain a reverse mortgage through a new New York state program that Nationwide Equities participates in, make some cosmetic upgrades (plaster, paint, updated kitchen, new flooring), then sell for over 400 times what we paid for the property (the going rate in my area), pay some bills, then move permanently down south with family. Simple. First I spoke with a rather pleasant woman who answered the phone and said I'll transfer you to "DJ", no last name -- informal but friendly, however, when I spoke with "DJ", he asked me for all sorts of personal information, but never told me his name until I actually had to ask for it at the end of the conversation, to which he replied "Daniel Junior". At the end of our conversation, I was told he would call me back either that evening or the next day. Look, I am an adult and am fully familiar with, and understand, the concept of the word no, but was shocked when I never received the promised phone call the next day and possibly an explanation as to why or why not. That call didn't come, so I called Nationwide and left a message for "DJ" a week later. He never returned my call. That was three weeks ago, is not the way in which to conduct business, and is highly unprofessional. Am reporting our interaction, or lack thereof, to New York state.
