I have a business loan from Highland Capital. I’ve been making automatic payments for a few years. I called the company because I wanted to make a payment in order to reduce the principal. With other business loans this was an easy procedure. I was informed that any extra payments would be applied to the monthly payments & not to the principal. Of cause this is to the advantage of Highland Capital & not its customers.

Stay away from this company, they are like bank sharks and look for every opportunity to charge extra fees. If your payment is a day late due to mail being slow, their management staff likes to play the "gotcha" rule and will not waive the late charge fee which is over $200! Regular staff is helpful and professional, but the management level will not return your calls. Borrow from someone else, Highland Capital Corp treats their paying customers like dirt!

DO NOT USE THIS LANDER for you business loan. They have the worse customer service. They loan money, but they don't give you the amount of interest you pay every year so that you can file tax. You have to hire a CPA to calculate the interest you paid them. When you sign up with them, you are stuck with it; you can't even payoff your loan sooner than your contract to reduce the interest because they still charge you interest the whole amount no matter you pay off 5 yrs or 10 yrs sooner. In short, STAY AWAY THIS LANDER!!

If I could give your management team a -5 review I would. When I talked to your management level about a late charge dispute he became very defensive from the onset. Then it took about 2 weeks to review it and still no resolution. My review stands and is justified. Borrow your money where they appreciate customers and not take advantage of 1 day late mail payments. Highland Capital had many opportunities to solve a simple problem as I reached out to you before posting a review.

Absolutely cheating, they insulted my office manager when she asked for the explanation of additional charge. I think consumer protection beuro should do investigation.

Disorganized business. Still keeps charging us an insurance surcharge eventhough it has been submitted and resubmitted by our insurance company. Their site is not set up to pay online. You can pay through email but then the rules change every month on how to do that. If I could give them a zero I would! My advice is to find another financing equipment company, fellow veterinarians.
