New Mexico Bank & Trust, Raton, NM

I just opened a new account there yesterday after my other local bank branch is closing. I checked w a national bank branch in town and they told me that it was going to be 3 weeks b4 I could open an account. (Absurd) Well NM Bank & Trust welcomed me. Terrific customer service and very friendly and efficient. I even got my ATM card the next day and it was personalized just for me. Thank you Jodi for the old school customer service which is missing in a lot of businesses in todays world.

I can’t even begin to describe the level of disdain I have for this bank. I’ve banked in four different states and not once have I had any of the issues I’ve had here. First off, NOBODY picks up the phone when you call, ever. Instead is an automated line without any real option to speak to someone in the bank. Their rules on coins are ridiculous and they have to be clean and separated to exchange (never had a single bank require this). The atm and pneumatic canisters are constantly down, etc. it’s a never-ending battle every step of the way here.

Good banking options and customer service. I really wish they offered zelle or venmo. Maybe soon...?
