WaFd Bank, Elko, NV

This bank is years behind even the smallest credit unions. Holds millions of dollars and yet can't update a system in a few short hours like the rest of the world. Not worth putting your money into. Garbage customer service, always turning the problem and blaming their customers. Go elsewhere.

This is one of the worst bank branches I have ever worked with in Elko. They put holds on money for 2 days but then if the weekend falls perced to make it 5 days! Also they have lost our deposite from my husbands job at the mines, then perceded to take all day to find it. They have charged insuficiant fees when there is still money in the account and they refuse at times to pay it back. Then when I called the national number they have given us our funds back for that fee that our local elko branch has placed on there. What ever you do dont open and start an account unless your willingly okay with the elko washington federal bank stealing/taking your money how they want. Very poor customer service over the phone as well because nothing is their fault and its up to us to watch and catch these things and then when you call them out they give you the run around! Cant wait to get back to town to close this account and go else where!

We really enjoyed Skylar and how welcome she made us feel when opening our business account. She's extremely kind, understanding and patient, couldn't ask for anything better.

Washington Federal Bank is been okay and I'll go Nevada since I've been here for a month my thing is it's a little hidden took me a minute to find it it's not advertised very well it's kind of in this little hole off the road in the shopping center but otherwise everything's fine

Washington Federal and the Elko branch employees have been awesome during the government shutdown. They saved me and many other federal employees with interest free loans.

The ladies at the WAFD bank are freaking incredible. They are always understanding and so much help each time I have gone in. (I tend to have bad luck with my cards and lose them or they tend to stop working.) I always see the same familiar faces each time too, and these women are constantly in such a bright mood it helps when my nerves are all frazzled. You gals rock! I love you! Lol. Probably best bank in elko to bank with! Thank you for putting up with me! 😃😊
