I only give this a two star review because it's not the poor teller's faults. This Key Bank location is NEVER staffed correctly. Ever. At most, I ever saw was three tellers on, and that was when Key took over First Niagara.
Veteran's day was just a few days ago, which this year it landed on a Friday. Naturally the banks were closed, which is fine. What isn't fine is when they opened up on Saturday, they didn't staff extra people. I don't know if it's just me, but I would think that if a holiday lands on a Friday, the day that a majority of your clients get paid, you would up the staff the very next day. To me that just seems a bit common sense.
But no, I walked into the bank to see 2 tellers on, and 9 people in line. I just went "Screw this" and threw my check into the ATM. In the two minutes it took me to do that, four more people walked in. So 13 customers waiting in line with two tellers. Those poor workers!! All because some idiot who does staffing didn't think that the day after a Friday bank holiday was not going to be busy.
Also: due to the fact that I deposited my check via ATM, now I have to wait longer for my funds to clear. Thanks Key Bank. Thanks.

I went there to deposit money into my business account and the lobby was closed because of covid-19. I waited in line for 45 minutes for drive thru window because there were a lot of cars ahead of me. After waiting for that long when I reached the window, the cashier told me that she can not deposit a large amount of cash at this window. I asked her to show me any posted sign to inform customers so they don’t waste their time in the line. She admitted that there is no sign stating anything like this. So I asked her my options to deposit money and she gave me the branch number to make an appointment. I called that number 3 different times but no one answer it.

This branch is always horribly understaffed and the wait is long.
We were lied to by Amanda when we opened our account. We were upsold to link our checking account to a new credit card (no doubt a commission for her), instead of just over drawing from our savings account.
It was over a year before we found out the account was not set up that way, and that we had opened a credit card for absolutely no reason.
The bill pay service is worth a star by itself. I've probably used it 100 times and they only lost one check (it took 2 weeks to arrive).
So if you like being used for a sales commission and having most of your bills paid on time, this is the bank for you.

Update: my amazing staff that actually reached out and took my concern seriously my issue has been resolved. I have the money back in my account and even a credit for the inconvenience. I’m not changing the rating because I still have issues with the branch. Five stars once again for the amazing staff. Zackery from the escalation dept. bailey and Alissa from customer service. The three need to be highly awarded for their true hard work and care.
Awful beyond awful. Deposited cash in the atm in beginning of December. System froze and did not credit the money to my account. Went into the branch following day and the staff never filed dispute properly. Call after call and lie after lie at the branch and customer service. Finally received provisionally credit and now a month later they take it back with no explanation. Once again trying to get someone on the phone to actually care and help is a nightmare. Do not recommend this bank. Will be leaving. Simple terrible. Needs to be a zero.

I have banked at Key Bank for over 30 years. for the last few months ONE teller at the drive thru insists on seeing my ID every single time. None of the others do. She claimed she doesn t know who I am even though she s probably waited on me at least 20 times.
Today, i deposited a check into my checking account and had 2 seperate checks totalling 31.00 that I wanted cash for, one was from my husband from his checking from another bank for 20.00 and the other was for 11.00 made out to my husband from our insurance co.
Again the Id, next she asked if my husband was on any accounts with me, I told her no... she then said she couldn t cash the 11.00
check, even though he signed it over to me and I have 2 savings and 1 checking account , which I ve had for over 30 years, and had PLENTY of money in the accounts to cover the 11.00 ck should have there been a problem ( doubtful)
When i confronted her she told me this was bank policy, I then told her none of the other tellers did this to me.
I was a bank teller for 4 yrs., and if an old account wanted to cash an 11.00 ck we did it for them!!!!!!!!! Especially when she could see his personal check signature and the one on the back of the 11.00 check matched. She then told me she could cash his personal check for 20.00 but not the 11.00.I told her "give them back to me and Ill go to my other bank that doesn t harass me."
Up until this obnoxious teller I would have given Key Bank 5 stars.
She needs to be retrained in Customer Service or she should find another job.
Update: Branch Mgr Gretchen called me advised she would address the above situation with the teller.
Back to 5 stars

KeyBank has been sooo disappointing. Who takes 10 months to get thru a mortgage loan, be mislead, promised, played with, lied to, over 40+ emails, takes money, only to cost us more money?! I should of squashed this long ago, but I've been kept being told promise after promise. TERRIBLE customer service, Terrible leadership, DO NOT GO THRU KEY BANK FOR A MORTGAGE. we are closing out our accounts and moving on with another CO.
