Community Bank, N.A., Canastota, NY

do NOT and I mean DO NOT use community bank, have had nothing but problems with this bank, and not just me but my whole family! Everyone that ik that uses community has experienced identity theft and credit card fraud. This bank will NOT tell you if your identity has been stolen or if there is any suspicious activity. I found out through Verizon what was going on. A phone company is better than this bank!

Close on a loan today. Extremely grateful to Lori T at the Canastota NY Community Bank. Although she was clearly super busy she had unwavering patience and I felt like her only client. Took all of my calls immediately answered all my questions and was just all around wonderful to deal with. This is why I try to bank local.

If you work as a travel nurse save yourself the time do not apply for a mortgage with this bank. Unfortunately they consider you a risk even though we consistently work all year and make a substantial wage. This feels like discriminate business practice . I was told if I had a staff position it would be easier to get a loan.

I'm not impressed with this new merger that was made. When you make a deposit sure you get a receipt but not with a new account balance, so in my opinion it's a waste of paper . The bank statements only come every 3 months now so if you want know anything before that you have to call, it's a big pain. I wouldn't recommend this new bank in general i am thinking of changing banks due to the excess charges or fees. I miss Oneida savings bank.

This bank goes back on what they say and they have an employee who watches everyone's accounts and then talk about it. They keep track of businesses around town and gossip about it. They keep track of personal accounts to report back to family
