Family First Credit Union, Penfield, NY

FF CU was setup originally for Penfield teachers. They are starting to expand and except non-teacher clients. This is why there are only a few locations and mostly on the East side. I wan't to address those negative reviews. Most of them are looking for a full service commercial bank and comparing them to one. FFCU is not and I assume those people that complained have never worked with a Credit Union. The last standard back that I enjoyed doing business with was HSBC and they left the area and my accounts went to some horrible banks. It was easy to move my account and even have access to my other backing account on their website. My experience was great. I also got a HELOC because of their VG rates. The HELOC was painless and no closing costs. Look at my 1963 kitchen new upgrade. I have always been treated very nicely and professionally.

Been member for well over 20 or more years that my parents setup for me. My experience with FFCU as of late probably the last couple of years has been so so. Finally had enough with them. Very disappointed in FFCU now!!!

Best place to get a mortgage in Rochester! I had a great experience working with the reps here. They made the process very quick and easy and their app makes it simple to pay every month. Highly recommend going here to get a loan or open a new checking account.

Family First FCU has excellent customer service. My mortgage is with Family First FCU and the process was speedy and accurate. They are extremely caring and helpful on all levels. I highly recommend.

I recently got a HELOC through family first. I worked with Georgia and Lindsay at the Penfield branch, and they were both fantastic. The whole process was smooth start to finish and they answered all of my questions quickly and promptly. I’d definitely recommend them.

Lately the service has been pretty bad. Waited 45 minutes because the only person who could help is the branch manager to look at a check to say yes or no to release a hold. Had to mobile deposit it due to working hours so I had no option to come in. Finally was able to on a Saturday and was told only person who can help me is a branch manager which is ridiculous. Left without being helped.
