Dealing with this bank and trying to wrap up affairs for our dying mother has been nothing short of excruciating. Total incompetence and always passing the blame on to someone else. Customer service is completely lacking and they follow up on nothing. Thank you so much for making a very difficult situation even worse! I give this bank negative stars.

Was asked to come in to look at some of the offers they had for my accounts after 15 years with key bank….I said I’d come to listen but I’m considering leaving key bank so it was strictly to get more information. I got signed up for a credit card and they ran my credit without me signing or giving any verbal authorization. What really horrified me was when I said I never asked to have my credit run because it would effect my credit score, she said no it won’t. HOW DOES THE BRANCH MANAGER OF A BANK NOT REALIE HOW AVERAGE AGE OF CREDIT AND NUMEBR OF INQUIRIES EFFECTS YOUR CREDIT SCORE?!?!?? I said right then I wanted it reversed with the credit bureau and she said she was able to submit something to equifax that it was their mistake. Naturally I got a letter from key bank and equifax saying it was justified because I asked for my credit to be run. Obviously the branch manager was using me credit to increase her numbers and bonuses. Closing all 5 of my accounts with key bank that I’ve had for 17 years. I’m disgusted.
