I have been with Navy Fed for almost four years and have been completely happy until now. Navy Fed proceeded to lock out my account WITHOUT notifying me before hand. This then caused me to accidentally lock out my online access by trying to log into the account too many times. Now Navy Fed will not only NOT unlock my online access but when I called and spoke to the security dept the lady (Maria from Saratoga Springs, NY security dept) was completely rude. She was of no help and refused to let me talk to anyone above her. She then hung up on me while I was in mid sentence. Worst experience I have had with Navy Fed and am completely disappointed. My account will soon be closed.

I've been with NFCU for over 35 years and have always had excellent service. Very competitive interest rates for my home loan and previous auto loans. Free electronic bill pay and checking.

Helpful branch, but not much competition in the area. Its inside a Navy support station, now requiring background check to get in. Call ahead to make sure you're on list, or bring birth cert/passport along with DL.

They will not tell you any information on how much you can borrow on any loan. They could not tell me if I could borrow 1cent. I was told that they do not have any advisors to help you understand the different loans that are offered, still can’t tell you if you can borrow.
Now, I did borrow $50k for a bike, easy. Asked for a $50k to consolidate debt, $25k at NFCU, denied. Both on the same day. I flipped it around thinking taking on greater debt caused the consolidation to be denied but no. No matter how, I got the $50k for the bike and zero for help reducing debt.
Today when asked about how much I could borrow on any loan, I couldn’t find an answer. Asked for a financial advisor on clearing my misunderstanding, doesn’t exist. I get hung up on while just waiting for someone to help me. I am not in financial business, this is what I pay them to do. If they can not do the job, there is always another place.
Get a financial advisor. Please.
