AmeriCU Credit Union, Syracuse, NY

Worst banking experience I've ever encountered in my life. I prefer credit unions, but this bank is terrible. Constant card troubles, doesn't link or work properly with most modern payment apps, 30min + wait times for member services on the phone, and my pin doesn't work on those hideous blue kiosk machines. Hours of operation are only when I work, which means banking is an absolute pain. Go somewhere else. I might just have to settle for a big bank while I live here.

Just sold my car and wanted to exchange in the money for 100's $7600.00 total in 20's and 10's. I stood there for over a hour for this guy to count it. No one helped him at all. After a hour I left with no exchange. This place is a joke. How are you a bank and you cant count money? WITH A MONEY MACHINE at that. I'll be closing my account now. DO NOT TRUST THIS BANK WITH YOUT MONEY!!

45 minutes waiting for Member Services is not acceptable.

Worst credit union ever had a car loan with them for about a year and a half always pay early and its right around the corner from my house so i could just drive over and pay my bill and out of no were they sell my lone to a company out of state and i have to mail in my payment theres no more going in or nothing and now i cant get a hold of this new loan holder and americu is no help this is bs they couldve reached out to me I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CREDIT UNION

The bankers are friendly and they have a deluxe coffee machine with great coffee!

Absolutely terrible bank. Please, trust me I use a handful of banks and this is the only one I would not recommend and when I say don't recommend I really, really mean it.

Good services Helpful and friendly staff Everything is available Loved the coin exchange machines But they need to have a mortgage specialist on site!! So we don't have to call or use virtual meetings.
