I wouldn't touch Magis Funding with a 10-ft pole if I were you. Originally contacted them on Feb 28th about a home equity loan on a duplex I have that's paid off. Originally quoted me rates in the upper 4's, which I thought was a bit steep but decided to proceed. TONS of back and forth, asking me for more documents every few days, the same documents multiple times (why not just give me one big list on day 1?), Gretchen on vacation for a week, etc. which ended up landing me above 7%. Finally closed on the loan and these clowns don't even have the time to call my attorney to let her know it's OK to release the funds! Finally should have the funds about 3.5 months later. Completely ridiculous. I'd terminate the whole thing if it wasn't too late already. I was actually communicating with Premium Mortgage and Azibo originally for the same loan but decided to stick with Magis.. what a massive mistake! There are a million other options out there, and all of them are better than Magis. DON'T make the same mistake that I did.

We've done multiple deals with Dave and Gretchen and they always go above and beyond. They are very welcoming, quick to respond, work with great lenders. We truly enjoy doing deals with these guys!

Great experience. I've had some pretty lousy experiences dealing with other mortgage brokers, originators, hard money lenders and banks over the years but David and Gretchen were fantastic. They did what they said they could and would do. They have a laundry list of available loan products for all walks of Real Estate professional from fix-and-flip short term loans to 30 year fixed rate to business lines of credit. They were highly professional, knowledgeable, and they were able to execute and fund a 30 yr fixed cash out refi on a multifamily investment property in a timely manner. And if I was lagging on a document for a day or two, Gretchen would politely ping me to keep me on my game. Legitimate professionals who have earned my repeat business for sure.

Dave and Gretchen worked tirelessly to secure the best possible loan for my first investment property. They saved the deal no less than three times. I highly recommend them, especially for novice buyers.
