American Eagle worked with me on my loan. I am self employed and we usually have a more difficult time with financing. The staff at American Eagle bent over backwards to help me. They cut my rate almost in half! They were so nice and friendly. I highly recommend them.

Was recommended by a real estate agent. Took there advice. Mistake. Lack of communication, had to switch mortgage company just to to get completed what should have been a simple task. Go somewhere else if you value communication and customer service.

For a local mortgage company you would think they would be able to get things straight and have more customer focus, as compared to the big name banks/lenders, but nope. Even from the start I was spoken to if I was just a number. Things were thrown at me I have no clue about in a rushed 2 minute call, with a not-so-friendly officer that just seemed impatient and annoyed. Loan documents with the incorrect information, even after explictly telling them the correct info, which happened TWICE. Plenty of the old fashioned "I didn't get that document" or "we need this from you" even though you've already sent it to them....more than once. This was especially the case when I started working with someone else when my original officer was no longer available, which speaks volumes and shows a major lack of internal communication and teamwork. Everything was in a huge rush at the end due to miscommunication and last second tasks needing to be done, unfortunately making buying a home one of the most stressful things I've ever done. I was in rage and stressed out at closing instead of happy and celebrating. What I can recommend: If you want to challenge your patience and nerves while borrowing thousands of dollars, this is the place for you! If not, DO NOT use this company, no matter whom recommends it to you. As long as they aren't scam artists, anywhere else will be better.
