We have had a great experience working with F&M bank and Pat Burkholder in getting a home loan and purchasing a house. Pat was very knowledgable and makes you feel comfortable going through the process of buying a home. We definitely recommend F&M bank!

Was not very impressed with my experience today. My parents have banked with F&M for a long time, and I do as well. I went in to get my change sorted/counted out for cash, and the teller, when I first walked in, acted like it was an awful task and something she did not want to do. She proceeded to take the bucket over to the machine, and about halfway through, the machine started acting up. She had said it was because there was water in the bucket I had put my change in, which I was not even aware of since I had just went went the change myself at home, not feeling any condensation anywhere whatsoever. The other tellers began to make snide remarks about said "condensation" on the coins and in the bucket right in front of me as if I was not there. It was a very unprofessional environment, and I will NOT be returning to do business with said bank, I will happily drive over to the Montpelier one where I have NEVER had a problem, or a "grunt" when I bring in my spare change. As a long-term customer, I expect better serve than that. Learn to act like adults.
