CheckSmart, Hamilton, OH

I've used CheckSmart in the past and have had no issues getting a payday loan making significantly less money. I tried applying for a loan recently and I was denied twice due to "insufficient income". Neither CheckSmart nor the lender can explain why or give more detail. Even the lender stated that I was certainly qualified. I gave all the information requested. Based off of what the lender had, I was qualified but for whatever reason, I was denied even for the minimum amount. Unreal. It would've been great to have a little security blanket til payday. Getting help shouldn't be this difficult and it's mind boggling to me that I can't be given in detail as to why I'm being denied.

Cashed 3 payroll checks all from the same company all good checks , went back a week later to cash another payroll check from the same company and they won’t do it said the 3 checks I cashed were still not processed, this place is a joke how do they keep the business open ?? Guess I’ll take my checks elsewhere..

Adding my review back as it seems to have been removed: Staff is not overly friendly and was a bit rude because my girlfriend had two checks. They processed them but it seemed the leftover DMV people work here.

Nice loan service when I am short on cash.

Dont go here try something else they are liars and wont tell you what the payment back is supposed to be

Ms Sam at this store has been such an angel. After being on the phone with the wrong customer service for a good 30-40 min, she helped us better than anyone. She even processed a new loan over the phone in minutes. Helped us with the correct website login info and everything. Thank you Sam !!!!

The ladies here have been nothing short of amazing. When I first went in about a year ago, I really didn't think I'd be approved as I was on the brink of filing bankruptcy but someone up there took a chance and I've been on time with payments ever since. Erin and Julie are total angels, never once looking down on someone who's on hard times and always understanding when payment has been a day or two late due to how my checks fall during holidays. Thank you for always being so gracious and kind, it's appreciated more than you know.

So normally you’d absolutely hate having to go to checksmart for anything, especially the area where I’m from, but this particular location is a standout. The ladies in there are always polite, patient and welcoming. Even after a long day of work they always lighten my mood with their energy.
