We have a car loan through one main and deal with the mount vernon office. Due to medical reasons, we were a week late. We went to call in today to make our payment and they said they sent it to collections! A WEEK LATE! Otherwise always on time. Gave corporate a call and they said nothing on our account showing that the account was in collections! This is not the first time I’ve had issues with one main. I would not recommend even dealing with them.

Give u a grace period but will instantly start calling u and Harrasing you. I’ve not been late on any payment in years. It’s not worth doing really it’s a high interest loan and will treat u like you aren’t going to pay after 1 day. Better off not getting a high interest loan from shady companies like this

We have a loan through OneMain and about a year ago I had to have knee surgery, during that time I couldn’t work. I called and scheduled payments just so we could make it through the month and OneMain threatened to have our vehicle repoed and accused us of lying and stealing money. All because we had to push back our payment. We’ve never been late on a payment in our lives, but OneMain treated us like dirt on the bottom of their shoes because we had to schedule a double payment in the next month. The manager was absolutely inhuman and did not care one bit about our situation, and only cared about getting the payment immediately. She even told me that her own paycheck, and the others in the office depends directly on my payment, and she doesn’t get paid unless I pay. I apologized so many times and felt terrible. Long story short we did make the double payment, and haven’t missed another since but still no apology to how we were treated and made to feel less than human.
