Union Home Mortgage, Mount Vernon, OH

I’ll start with the fact that we used UnionHome for our first home. Other than a slight delay in closing, we had no issues and it was a nice, smooth, process. Fast forward a few years and we are currently in the midsts of selling our home and purchasing a new one. We’ve opted to use Union Home yet again because again, they have been wonderful and we’ve had no issues throughout the duration of our current mortgage. Unfortunately the Union Home we used the first time has closed since our first loan. So we used the Mount Vernon office because it’s fairly close by! I truly cannot recommend Tracy enough. She has been absolutely wonderful throughout this entire process and has quite literally bent over backwards for us. The first home we went into contract with turned out to be a nightmare and we ended up having to switch up the home etc. She has kept in contact throughout the entire process and has always answered any questions/concerns we’ve had promptly. She has worked extremely diligently to help us close by a certain time frame. Tracy has been wonderful to work with! She truly seems to care, which is hard to come by these days. Definitely would recommend her to anyone looking to purchase a home or refinance! Updating after closing: We closed ON TIME and Tracy and Union home mortgage made it happen. She (as well as underwriting and everyone behind the scenes) worked really hard for us. We had some last minute hiccups in the road to no fault but our own, and she and Union worked around it all and kept such a positive and optimistic mindset along the way. I know I said it above, but I truly cannot say it enough, I cannot recommend Union home mortgage and Tracy Kleisner enough. We are so happy with our purchase and the service we received.

My first contact was with Joel who is the friendliest person you will ever meet. He was the one who got the ball rolling at first. During the initial phase of me applying for a mortgage, Joel was getting busier and I started talking to his partner there, Chris. Chris took the time to explain EVERYTHING to me in detail in a way that I understood. He is methodical, thorough, and exceptional in his approach both to the process of applying and making sure you understand what you are doing. Together this team of experts really came through for me and my family. I would recommend them to anyone interested in buying a home and will also use them again in my future real estate dealings. We have not been kept in the loop as to what is going on with our loan. Extreme lack of communication, and we do not feel like a very important customer or that we are any kind of priority to them. Had to call them to see what was going on with our loan, and couldn't even get a call back. They have made our first home buying experience not a very enjoyable one what so ever. Will NOT be recommending this company to anyone I know.
