Wright-Patt Credit Union, Urbana, OH

I was a 3 decade user of another credit union. Over those years, they added enough fees to no longer get my business. WPCU has an excellent array of services and much smaller, or no fees that were charged elsewhere. I've had excellent customer service in person while telephone service can take quite a while to speak to a person. I still give my review 5 stars.

I met with Dan to re-open open my account. Dan was probably the most helpful bank team member I've ever talked with. You can tell he was there to help and was interested in helping me grow my business! I'm excited about that because I've gotten no support with PNC with my new business

My husband went into Wright Pat Credit Union in Urbana Ohio on Dec 14 withdrawal money from our Honda account for our Vacation. Our son has an account with Wright Pat. We where leaving for a week out of state so we wanted to deposit some money into our son’s Wright Pat account for him to have for food and bills while we where out of town. My husband handed the money to the teller she asked for our sons name and told my husband that the money was in our son’s account. We left the next day for vacation. Once out of state we get a call on Tuesday from our son the money isn’t in his account. Now we are out of state in a guided trip where we can’t get to a bank. Worried our whole trip because our son has no money and we can’t help. As soon as we get home I go to the bank. Sit down with the acting manager and go through what could’ve happen to the money. She finds it was deposited into an account of someone else with the same name but different birthday. I ask how soon will the adjust will Be made and the money will be in my son account I am told by the end of the day. That was Thursday and it is now Saturday the money is still not in my son account or ours. At this point what is Wright Pat doing with my money or are they trying to hide something. Where is the money!!!!!

I stopped yesterday to make a payment on 2 of my accounts. There was only 1 teller working out of 4 counters and a line to the door. Other employees kept walking through the teller area and then going back to their offices with complete disregard which was aggravating. With this many people and the teller set up there is absolutely no privacy. So, when the teller I worked with knew absolutely nothing about my accounts it was a bit embarrassing. She told me that I hadn't made a car pymt since September, which I had. I had to tell her the details of my car and cc pymt amounts and after much longer then it should have taken (being she was looking at my acct and I was not) she said "Oh, yes, you're right.". I was not happy with this transaction at all.

I absolutely love the Urbana Ohio Wright Patt Credit Union. It is hands down the best Wright Patt Credit Union within a 50 mile radius. No drive thru but I don't mind. That being said... The Wright Patt CU on Bechtel in Springfield Ohio is the worst. Not the people. The way it's laid out. Their one way in one way out setup is stupid. Their ATM is in the drive thru but nothing in the entrance. If I lived in Springfield there is no way I'd bank there. Totally stinks. Especially when busy.

Urbana is probably the worst wright patt there is, go to any other one and your experience will be hands down completely different.

They can never give you your money when you need ti withdraw. Always a bad experience, thus store makes me want to take my money out and not return to wright patt.
