McCurtain County National Bank, Idabel, OK

I had a really terrible experience with a loan officer named Mark Simpson. I sent in my applications for construction loans on two lots and it took over a month to finally hear something back. I kept getting the runaround that he was on vacation and then the “Board of Directors“ had a family death. We never went through my application, talked about any of my income or debts, and when he finally called me for the first time to talk about my loan application he said his Board of Directors declined me. He would not give me any further information or talk to me about any of it. He even accused me of arguing with him. I am self-employed and I make over six figures and will have no problem qualifying at any other bank. However I was trying to go local and realized what a mistake that was. I would steer clear of these local banks as I don’t believe they have the funding and definitely are unprofessional.

This bank will nickel and dime you to death. The ATMs are also stone age and don't accept any type of deposits. I would recommend you bank literally anywhere else.
