We had an excellent experience with Caliber and Sam Williams. He's a good listener, he's not pushy, he's very knowledgeable and experienced. After completing our home purchase through Caliber I can't see us using anyone else. Update Wed Oct 25, 2023 Now that Caliber is associated with newrez their web account support has dropped in quality. I talked with their tier 1 support about problems with their online account access halting at the SAML authentication stage not allowing me to make a payment or view the account dashboard. The tier 1 support told me that there are no known issues with their website and told me to use either Chrome or MS Edge since those are the only browsers that they support. When I told them that Safari was working up until this month they sent me to their "IT support". Their IT support repeated the same thing and tried to dismiss me. When I asked to talk to a manager they escalated the support call to the next level where the rep finally said that their are cookies that get set by the system sometimes that cause the account access to fail. The only way to fix it is to delete all cookies on the browser because they don't know which cookies they have set are causing the problems. I requested that the representative pass this issue up to leadership along with the others so that they get solved. Original Review The original rep I had was great but it went down hill from there. The phone support has been dishonest with me about removing PMI and keeps have me call in. The phone rep in October told me that I was approved to have it removed in November since I paid off the amount in October. The new bill came in without the PMI removed the new phone rep says they see that I have paid off enough of the loan to have it removed but they won't remove it because "their investor" set a rule that I have to wait two years now from the date I got the loan. Essentially they have lied to me and are penalizing me for paying off my home early.
