Umpqua Bank, Cottage Grove, OR

I really like this bank. They're nice and straight forward. However, their automated system when you call does not work. Ive tried several times and it cant be my phone because not only have i tried using my landline, i tried using a friends phone earlier and it did not work. It would be great to access my balance via automated line rather than having to go in every time i need to check my balance. Tried to sign up for the online banking and the page i kept getting told me i didnt have permission to access the information.

I was very disappointed that Umpqua did not issue me a temporary debit card upon opening an account. I was unable to access my money for two weeks on account that they do not print cards in house, and do not issue temporary cards.

check cashing is expensive here unless you have an account.

If you write a check to someone they charge $6 for that person to cash it. It's ridiculous.
