If I could give zero stars I would. This bank is terrible customer service. The branch manager is very rude and impolite (Deanna I think?). I had an issue and was suspended from online banking and was told "they didn't know how long it would take" to reinstate banking. They said they would have to "monitor my bank and see how it goes". She spoke to me like I was a child in time out. They are there to provide a service and after 15 years one would think they could look at my account and "see how it goes".

Terrible service. I understand closing the bank during covid, but you would think they would make keeping the ATM functional a priority. I've tried to use it twice recently, once it was out of service on a Friday at noon, the other time it malfunctioned in the middle of a transaction, said it was keeping my card for security reasons, then went to the out of order screen. I emailed them informing them of the issue, and received a complete cookie cutter response, I doubt an actual person looked at it (Thanks Steven O, Director of Service Client Care Center). I also requested to have my debit card returned, many weeks later no card. I would think when they find the ATM has kept some ones card they would get in touch with that customer, see if it was stolen or what happened then attempt to get it back to them, and ensure there where no fraudulent charges on their accounts.

Washington Federal Bank is a great bank. They are very helpful & friendly people working at the bank. They smile, greet you kindly, & are very helpful & kind employees. The services they have at the bank are nice & helpful for me.

The Dalles branch is a joke!
Trying to get a new debit card has taken over a week. I have no access to my money and cannot pay bills due to having a expired card.
I called the customer service number and was told that the Dalles had a instant card maker.
I called the branch and was told yes come on down and we will give you a card. When I arrived (the same day) they told me the cards were counted and put away for the day and that They could send the card to my local branch in the morning for pick up. I called the next morning to see if it was ready and I was told I had to drive back to the Dalles to get it. I had already left work early once yesterday, I am NOT local to this Branch and drove 45 min in to get this taken care of the night before.

I have been banking with WaFd since 2019 and have loved the experience. The staff at The Dalles branch has always been kind and helpful. The online banking is intuitive and easy to use. Highly recommend.
