They make it impossible to get out from under their loan. I have been making double payments for a year and called to try to pay off the remaining balance of the loan only to find out that my balanced only decreased by $1000 when I have paid them 4k in one year. I originally borrowed $8100, they are telling me I owe them 14k?! But if I paid off today it would be $7083... I have PAID 4K IN ONE YEAR, and it has done nothing to my principal balance? They cant even tell me what the interest rate is. Joe says it changes throughout the length of the loan. Ummm what? How about you just let me pay off the remaining balance of $4100 today so this can be over with. Do not waste your time. You wont ever be able to get out from under them.

My whole experience with One Main Financial was horrible. I was lied to by their representative Emily, lied to and manipulated and a real good con job. I did not call them, they called me. I explained that I was turned down previously, and did not want to proceed with the loan due to i did not want another hard hit on my credit report. AND THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED. I was assured I got the loan,all my information was good, was given an estimate how much I could get a loan for. WELL, like I said to Emily happened. I got turned down, my score dropped 29 points. Thanks alot. If you need a loan, don't go here. It was a waste of time. My score was 720.

they said they wouldn't run my credit but there is hard inquiry on my credit report.... horrible
